Just about all foods will build muscle but some foods are better at it than others. To get you off to a good start I would like to tell you which are the best types of food for building muscle.
Calories what counts most so foods which have a lot of calories yet don’t require a lot of space in the stomach are the best foods to eat. Only whole foods (unprocessed) should be eaten for the most part, so when I talk about chicken, for instance, I am not talking about McDonald’s McChicken nuggets but actual unprocessed chicken.
For protein, go for:
Egg
Milk
Beef
Chicken
Fish
Cheese
Whey protein
For carbohydrates, go for:
Wholegrain bread
Oats
Rice
Pasta
Potatoes
For fats, go for:
Olive oil
Fish oil
Flaxseed oil
Regular diet fats from whole foods
Look around on the Internet and you will see most people recommend the same types of food for building muscle so this is not just my opinion but widely accepted opinion.
