Good lat development really makes a man look impressive with the V shape it creates. But, what kind of lat workouts does this quire? Is it complicated? No!
Surprisingly, the lats can grow very wide with just a little competent training. I’ve found many exercises useful in developing my lats, but there are two I have used more than others with great success.
Those are:
Bent Over Rows
An easy exercise. With a shoulder wide stance, a flat back almost parallel to the floor, allow a barbell with an overhand grip to hang down at arms length. Simply pull the barbell into the top to the middle of your abs.
One Arm Rows
Performed in a similar way to bent over rows, dumbbell rows are done using a dumbbell and one arm. Take up a position kneeling on a bench, with the same-side hand holding the bench for stability. Have a the other foot on the floor, with the dumbbell in the same-side hand, palm facing in. Have your back straight. Now, from a hanging down position, pull the dumbbell up as far as you can with your upper arm. Make sure you keep your arms in to the body to work the lats.
There are plenty of other lat workouts also which involve the use of cables, but these two exercises should get you started.
